Tip of the Digital Tongue

I added our storefront to a company that is supposed to market it through a local business listings service among other various publicity venues. It is not exactly your traditional advertising agency. They do not print up flyers to stuff in people’s mailboxes or try to hand out complimentary key chains. Instead, they concentrate on getting your information into all of the various different directory services that people actually turn to when they want to find out where to get something. You can’t just count on regular phone books anymore. After all, when was the last time you used a phone book to find something? I can’t think of the last time, to be honest. When I want something, I use a search engine or talk to the directory service on my phone. It takes more than some bold print in the yellow pages these days to get the word out there.
